I presented photos and stories from my trip to Grand Cayman Island in 2007 where I volunteered at the Blue Iguana Recovery Program for two weeks.  B.I.R.P. is an important conservation program successfully bringing the endemic and critically-endangered Grand Cayman Blue Iguana (Cyclura lewisi) back from the brink of extinction!

I also discussed my forthcoming book - Captive Care of the Central Netted Dragon and my recent photographic series 'ORDER:SQUAMATA'.

ORDER:SQUAMATA prints are available for purchase right here now!

Reptile Portraits        Scientific Record               Endangered Species

The International Reptile Conservation Foundation produces a quarterly journal called 'Iguana'.  It’s not just about iguanas, but the world of reptiles, in depth and current.

The current issue features Raja, my adult male Central Netted Dragon on the cover and includes a thorough captive husbandry article.

Iguana is free when you become a member of IRCF or you can order the journal instead. However,

I highly recommend becoming a member and supporting International reptile conservation.

One of the principal aims of IRCF is to support conservation and research programs that contribute to the survival of threatened reptiles and their habitats.  One of those programs is the 'Blue Iguana Recovery Program' which I had the great pleasure of being a part of for a few weeks in Oct of 2007 on Grand Cayman Island in the Caribbean.
